We are a private clinic, so we will always be upfront with you.

We do not offer NHS orthodontics. Many families choose private orthodontic care because they want a shorter wait, more appointment flexibility, a wider choice of treatment options, and clear continuity with the same experienced team. At your child’s assessment, we will explain whether treatment is needed and when it should start before you make any decision.

When should my child be seen?

The age question, answered honestly.

Not every child needs braces early. The aim of an assessment is to understand what is happening, whether anything needs monitoring, and when treatment would be most appropriate.

7–8

Early check

Useful for spotting developing bite issues, crowding or habits, even if treatment is not needed yet.

10–14

Most common age

This is when many children and teenagers start treatment, once enough adult teeth have come through.

15–17

Still very treatable

Older teens may prefer clear aligners or more discreet options, depending on suitability.

18+

Not too late

If treatment was missed earlier, we also provide orthodontic treatment for adults.

What happens first?

Your child’s first visit is simple, relaxed and pressure-free.

Step 1

Open day assessment

We look at your child’s teeth, listen to your concerns and explain whether orthodontic treatment may be needed now, later or not at all.

Step 2

Digital scan

If suitable, we can use digital scanning to help show what is happening and explain the possible treatment options clearly.

Step 3

Plan and pricing

You will receive clear advice on the recommended approach, likely timescales and payment options before deciding whether to proceed.

Treatment options

Braces and aligner options for growing smiles.

Every child is different. Some cases are best treated with fixed braces, while others may be suitable for clear aligners or more discreet options. We will explain the pros and cons clearly, based on your child’s teeth, age, confidence and lifestyle.

Fixed braces

A reliable option for many children and teenagers, especially where more detailed tooth movement is needed.

Clear aligners for teens

A more discreet removable option for suitable teenage patients who can wear them consistently.

Monitoring and timing advice

Sometimes the best answer is to wait and review at the right stage of growth.

Treatment costs

What does orthodontic treatment cost?

We will only confirm the right option after your child’s assessment, but these starting prices give you a realistic guide before you decide whether to proceed.
