# What are the symptoms of gum disease?

You don't always experience symptoms of gum disease. It's often a painless process which goes on in the background without patients realizing.

It’s often when a dentist brings it to your attention or when you notice that you've got loose teeth, bleeding, bad smells or bad tastes coming from your mouth.
